After years of brutal civil war, followed by a series of natural disasters including hurricanes and earthquakes, the Salvadoran People are struggling to rebuild their country. The vision of a just country where everyone has enough to eat, where everyone has a place to live, and where people are treated with dignity and respect, is the vision that drives our organization forward.

Otra Fe Association for Food Security and Development in Western El Salvador is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) registered in Canada. Our work happens on the ground in El Salvador, focusing on various projects such as food security, empowerment of women, education, community programs, and health care. All projects are community driven, which means that communities tell us what they need and we work to make it happen.

Every dollar that we receive goes directly towards funding our projects. There is no overhead for our operations, as all of the directors on our board volunteer their time to keep our organization running.
