Children and Youth Projects

Most of the children in these programs are assisted with financial supplements for educational costs. Otra Fe is assisting students from Metapán and Ahuachapán with secondary and university monthly support. Each student that we support sends us a monthly update on how they're doing in school, any grades they may have received, and any issues they may be encountering.  A group of American Baptists, headed by Dianne Ashman, provides support for primary students.

The Saturday Program in Ahuachapán is operated by Compassionate God Church. The children and youth are mostly from communities north of the city. The program offers reinforcement of reading and math skills, as well as basic Christian ed. Often the mothers attend with their children and they also benefit from the program.

Saturday program:  $150 CAD for 1 month

Student Assistance Program:  $80 CAD is given to each student, average per month
