April 2021

The 2021 Spring auction benefiting the rural farmers of Ahuachapán and Metapán in Western El Salvador has ended.

We are extremely pleased to announce that the auction has raised $4449.00, plus an additional $1830 in cash donations, for a GRAND TOTAL of $6279.00 !!

Many Thanks to everyone who donated items, and participated in this online auction. We hope you had fun, and went away with a new treasure!

Please join our Facebook page Otra Fe Canada2, as well as here, for regular updates on the on-going projects in El Salvador.

Since the auction ended, we have been busy shipping out the various auction items, and collecting the winning bids.

We are very pleased to announce that the funds needed for seed and fertilizer, for the farming families that we support, have been successfully received by Otoniel Pleites, Otra Fe's Agronomist Consultant and Founding member in El Salvador. He will be sourcing the appropriate goods, and arranging purchase and delivery to the remote communities involved.

Thank you again for your continuing support! Stay tuned. I'm sure we'll have photos of the Spring planting soon.

Coffee from the Mountains of El Salvador!

Updated April 2021

Our Directors have purchased fresh coffee beans from Los Ausoles in Ahuachapán, El Salvador. They are a family-run coffee co-operative that ensures the farmers who supply the beans are allowed control over the sale price of their crops.  These fresh, high altitude, coffee beans are grown in the mountains, and boast a very low acid, smooth, delicious taste.

We are selling each 1 lb bag for $20.

Call or email your order for fresh coffee beans today, while supplies last!

For more information about the Los Ausoles co-operative, visit their website at www.cooperativalosausoles.com
