It is the end of a fantastic growing season and this year's crops were abundant! Thank you to the donors that have helped these farmers put food on their tables. Thank you to the farmers for all your hard work, and allowing us to be a part of your lives.
December 2019
A short video showing this years incredible harvest! The farmers have been growing heritage corn, sorghum, beans, and squashes in their rented fields.
October 2019
This is the bean harvest. They beat the dried plants to knock the bean pods off. Extremely hard work! ...think, Canada in the early 1800s. This is the job that our expensive thrashing machines do, but when you don't have that kind of money, this is how it's done.
